The BlackBerry at first glance looks like the earlier version of this phone, but only by discovering the specs do you realize that this is not just any other BlackBerry device. It is widely agreed that this could be the best BlackBerry ever to be made by RIM, and there are many users anxiously waiting for the opportunity to purchase this particular phone.
To start with, this version of the BlackBerry uses the impressive OS 6.1. The RAM on the BlackBerry Dakota comes to 768GB with an upgradable 4GB inbuilt memory. The phone's CPU is an impressive 1.2GHz processor, which is said to make this particular version faster than the earlier BlackBerry devices. The headphone jack for this phone measures at 3.5mm and the phone includes a micro USB port. In terms of connectivity, the BlackBerry Dakota is 3G enabled, has Wi-Fi b/g/n and is capable of internet sharing (mobile hotspot). The screen is also an impressive feature on this device, boasting a 2.8-inch screen with a 640×480 megapixel resolution.
The camera which is same in BlackBerry 9860 is expected to be a great feature to use; as the device has a 5-megapixel camera (standard camera) that comes equipped with and LED flash. The BlackBerry Dakota maintains much of the look synonymous with this range of Smartphone, while at the same time incorporating new specs that set it apart from other versions of the BlackBerry. Another unique feature that has been added on to the BlackBerry Dakota is a fully functional touch screen that allows for fast and stylish use of the device.
The specifications of the BlackBerry Dakota are no doubt the best on any BlackBerry device to come out of RIM. It is however yet to be seen if these specs will entice Smartphone users enough to ignore other Smartphone options such as the Apple iPhone and the many top of the range Android phones available on the market. RIM has definitely outdone them this time and has reminded us yet again, why they are the leading Smartphone providers today.
